Custom Painted Clothing Pricing Guide

One of my most frequently asked questions about my painted jeans/jackets/etc is “How much will a custom cost me?”

Now, the answer to that is not something I can give off the top of my head. It all depends on the complexity of the piece, materials, etc. However, I have put together a “Price Calculator” that can help you get a rough estimate of what your idea will be priced at. This isn’t an exact science, but once you take a look at it, get an idea and reach out to me with your design and I will get you a final price!

ANYWAY- Behold! Pricing guide for painted fashion!

Base Costs:

  • A standard upfront cost of $40 applies to all commissions.

Garment Costs:

  • T-shirts and Denim Jackets: Base price.

  • Sweatpants: Base price + $10 (The fabric soaks up paint like crazy, thus more time and material is required)

  • Jeans: Base price.

  • Thrifted items incur a $10 fee. (The outcomes of thrifted clothing cannot be assured in terms of size, style, or color.)

*NOTE: Fabrics with more stretch tend to wear and crack faster.

Character Paintings:

Designs covering less than/up to 40% of the garment:

  • Simple: $15

  • Regular: $25

  • Realistic/Complex: $30

XL Designs (covering 50% or more): Double the above costs.

Illustrations:

  • Words: $2 per word

  • Simple Illustration: $5

  • High Detail Illustration: $15

Additional Design Features:

  • Dye or Bleach: +$20 each

  • Glow/UV Effects: +$10

  • Airbrush or Other Requests: +$25 each

Total Calculation:

  • Select a garment and add applicable surcharges.

  • Choose design elements based on size and detail.

  • Include any additional design features.

  • Sum for an estimated total cost.
